Government challenges third sector to lead the way in t
The Minister for the Third Sector challenged the third sector to show the way in transforming public services.  A series of documents published on 11 December details the Government's commitment to working in partnership with charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises at the vanguard of 21st century public services.

The Compact should not be statutory
A ten-year-old contract between government and the third sector should not be made statutory, according to recommendations made after a three-month consultation.

New third sector skills body
The Government today announced plans to create a new Third Sector skills body which will identify and address skills gaps and shortages for charities, voluntary groups, social enterprises and other third sector organisations.
