Social innovation refers to new ideas that work in meeting social goals.

Social innovation is to meet unmet social needs through the development of new products, services and organisations.

Social innovation is how cities, national governments and businesses solve compelling challenges facing the society-such as urban growth, traffic congestion, and ageing population, chronic disease and unemployment-by designing and developing new and more effective approaches.
