British Council and the Skills for Social Entrepreneurs project is now becoming further established in the UK Social Enterprise sector after an article on the project in Social Enterprise magazine on 2 June.
In this article titled "British Council plans to boost 10,000 social entrepreneurs worldwide", a BC spokesman was quoted as saying that "We will invest in a new generation of job-creators - entrepreneurs who work both for their own welfare and that of their communities." The article reveals BC's plan to roll out the project globally, and it also introduces the first successful pilot training in Beijing this March.
The magazine has also asked Nick Temple, Policy and Communications Director of the UK's School for Social Entrepreneurs, to write an article on the China context once he returns from his visit here next week. He will be returning to China to help develop the curriculum for this year's Skills for Social Enterprise Project.
